Three Chalmette men have been booked with the theft of several thousand
dollars worth of copper wire, St. Bernard Parish authorities said.

The copper was stolen from a job site over a period of time, the St. Bernard
Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The arrests were made Sept. 17.

Booked with theft over $500 were Brenden Guerra, Michael Boudreaux and
Joseph Richard, no ages or addresses available.

The men are accused of stealing reels of wire containing more than 4,500
feet of copper from a job site in Chalmette, authorities said. The wire is
used in underground telephone lines.
