In his first video since his Youtube announcement speech, Charlie Melancon features a portion of President Obama’s health care address on his website.

This should come as a surprise to no one. When Charlie Melancon had a chance to vote on key provisions of the health care bill, he towed the National Democrat party line and voted with Obama. He opposed removing the public option from the bill, voted against making Members of Congress enroll in the government-run health care plan and even voted twice to kill legislation that would have banned bureaucrats from making health care decisions. 

Charlie Melancon endorsed President Obama, votes with Obama 84% of the time, and has been raising money from Obama’s allies at Martha’s vineyard in Massachusetts. Rather than endorsing Obama’s speech on his website and listening to Obama’s thoughts on health care, Charlie should be answering for his government-run health care votes and why he continually refuses to hold any town hall meetings. 

Every member of Louisiana's delegation held at least one town hall meeting over the August break to discuss health care with concerned citizens -- except Charlie Melancon . He needs to come clean and answer for his 84% Obama voting record. Until then, we’ll just keep checking his website and his voting record to keep up with his out of touch views in Washington.
