Fuel Brings Back 'Game Nights'

St. Bernard Parish President's Office and N.P. Trist hosted Oct. 3rd Game
Night

In January, Fuel, the youth program created by St. Bernard Parish President
Craig P. Taffaro, brought 'Game Nights' as monthly events for middle school
students across St. Bernard Parish. October 3rd began the new school year's
Game Nights. More than 70 students came together for a night of open gym and
large group games. The night begins with open gym time where students can
play basketball, football, volleyball, or hang out with friends. Students
then are broken up into teams where they compete during different games
throughout the night. Dodgeball, Bump, and Elbow Tag were some of the games
for October.

The next Game Night will be Saturday, November 14th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at
N.P. Trist Middle School. November will bring Glow in the Dark Dodgeball
and new games with an Earthball. Game Nights are for any student in St.
Bernard Parish that is currently in grades sixth through eighth and are held
at N.P. Trist Middle School in the gymnasium. Game Nights are free and
concessions are provided by the Parent Teacher Organization of N.P. Trist
Middle School.

In order to enter, each student must submit a signed waiver form by their
legal parent/guardian. Waivers can be found online at www.sbpg.net
<http://www.sbpg.net/> under the Recreation Department, or at the
registration table. Waivers are valid for one year from date signed.
Students will not be admitted entrance without a waiver.

All events will have adult supervision. If you would like to volunteer to
help at any events or have any questions, please contact Abbey Flaherty at
224-1653.
