Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal to Speak at St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce
Luncheon

 

CHALMETTE, LA, OCTOBER 28, 2009: On Wednesday, November 4th, Louisiana
Governor Bobby Jindal will be addressing the local and state economy at a
St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce luncheon.  The event is being held at the
St. Bernard Civic Center Auditorium, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and
the presentation beginning at approximately 12:15 p.m.  Immediately
following, Governor Jindal will mix and mingle with attendees.

 

"The Chamber is honored to host the Governor and we look forward to his
address," said Sean Warner, 2009 Chairman, "This will be a great opportunity
for our Chamber membership to gauge the progress and recovery we are making
in light of the recent recession."

 

St. Bernard Parish President Craig P. Taffaro, Jr., who has always stressed
the importance of the positive partnership St. Bernard Parish enjoys with
the state, will present Gov. Jindal a presidential commendation at the
event.

 

"We have enjoyed Gov. Jindal's sincere support of our recovery, and we look
forward to the opportunity to visit with him in St. Bernard," President
Taffaro said.

 

Tickets to the event are $25 for St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce members and
$30 for non-member attendees; admission includes a catered meal.
