[StBernard] Arrest Made in St. Bernard Church Theft

Arabi-Saint Bernard Parish Sheriff's Deputies say they have arrested a man
in connection with a church theft in Violet. Deputies say 45 year old Herman
"Peter" Smiles admitted to them that he broke into Our Lady of Lourdes
Church last Saturday and stole dozens of Christmas gifts. Deputies say
Smiles blames his drug use for stealing from the church. Police did recover
