Bernazzani to Speak at Nunez Community
College



After 24 years of service with the FBI, James Bernazzani has
turned his efforts to crime prevention.

The former Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division
for the FBI will be the guest speaker at the Nunez Community College History
Lecture Series on Monday, April 12th where he will discuss "Overcoming Crime
with Solutions for Prevention."

The lecture begins at 7 p.m. with a wine and cheese reception at
6:30 p.m. in the Nunez Auditorium.

Bernazzani is the president of the Youth Rescue Initiative (YRI)
which is a comprehensive endeavor designed to assist at-risk youth in the
New Orleans area. The YRI website states that Bernazzani "has witnessed
first-hand the effects of troubled youth on society. His experience and
leadership, combined with a Harvard education and a strong commitment to our
community and its children, led him to establish the Youth Rescue
Initiative."

He was awarded the 2006 Presidential Award for Meritorious
Service for his work after hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The lecture is free and open to the general public.
