St. Bernard Parish drinking water is safe

Oil spill has in no way affected the water supply; St. Bernard's only intake
is far upriver

 

St. Bernard Parish officials want people to know that the parish's water is
safe and unaffected by the oil spill.  It can be used for any purposes, such
as drinking, cooking and bathing. The oil spill has not affected and is not
expected to affect the water supply because St. Bernard's only intake is far
upriver on the Mississippi River.
