[StBernard] Free Job Enrollment Assistance on May 20 & June 3

The Community Staffing Services (CSS), the newest program of Catholic
Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, helps low-income, low-skilled
individuals find jobs by providing them with consistent, temporary
work which can lead to permanent employment. 


CSS representatives will be at the Community Center of St Bernard,
1107 LeBeau St Arabi on May 20 and June 3 from 10 AM until noon to
help local residents enroll for this program. Community Staffing
Services is targeted towards individuals 18 years and older who have
a high school diploma or GED but lack job skills. This program
focuses on helping residents obtain entry-level jobs in the
construction and tourism industries. 


Basic pay rate for the Community Staffing Service positions are
$9/hour.  Some skilled or experience positions that pay more are also
available. The program also provides a range of additional services
to support program participants, such as transportation assistance,
case management, clinical counseling, adult education, health
services and more.
