Town hall meeting for St. Bernard residents to be Monday, May 24 at 7 p.m.
Oil Spill briefing to be held in Civic Center Grand Ballroom
A town hall meeting open to all St. Bernard Parish residents will be held on
Monday, May 24th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center
Grand Ballroom at 3220 Jean Lafitte Parkway in Chalmette. St. Bernard Parish
officials and a representative from British Petroleum will be on hand to
brief the community and answer any questions St. Bernard citizens may have
regarding the oil spill disaster. The representative from British Petroleum
will brief the public on the status of the oil spill and leaking well, as
well as efforts that BP is involved in that will help the community through
this disaster.
