GRAND ISLE BEACH CLOSED

Beginning today, the officials of the Town of Grand Isle and
Jefferson Parish have closed the beaches of Grand Isle to the public.
Because oil is washing ashore on Grand Isle, the Parish of Jefferson
Emergency Management and the Town of Grand Isle are hereby ordering the
immediate closure of all beaches in and around the Island until further
notice.
If you are planning a trip to the Grand Isle area and are concerned
about the impact from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, please contact
the Grand Isle Tourism Department at 985-787-2997 or email them at
tourism at grand-isle.com for the latest information.
