Tuesday, June 29th at 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 30th at 11:30
a.m. Mud Buddies is the title of the 45- minute story session that will
include tales such as Bedtime at the Swamp by Kristen Crow and local author
and storyteller, Dianne de Las Cassas' newest book, Mama's Bayou. All story
sessions take place at the library's temporary location of 7701 W. Judge
Perez in Arabi.

An additional activity has been scheduled for Thursday, July 1 at 5:30 p.m.

pleased to announce a special informational session of the Growing Up Fit
Together program hosted by Ms. Tamaria Hawkins. The topic will be 'Tips on
Healthy Eating'. The Growing Up Fit Together Program is a pilot chronic
disease prevention project designed to prevent clinical health risks for
children suffering from obesity. This obesity prevention project targets
elementary school aged children. Parents may visit the Growing Up Fit
Together website at www.growingupfit.org <http://www.growingupfit.org/> .
The United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources
and Services Administration's Office of Rural Health Policy provide funding
for this project.

Summer reading fun will continue on Friday, July 2nd with Frank Levy's
Instant Theater. Audience members will be recruited as the cast for the
instant production of 'The Little Mermaid'. Library friends are sure to
enjoy this much-loved play complete with sound effects and props! Mr. Levy

Art in April Festivals. Show time is set for 10 a.m. sharp at the St.
Bernard Council on Aging site located at 8201 W. Judge Perez Dr., next to
the parish government complex.

All library programs are free and open to the public. Friday's artistic
performance is sponsored by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts,
Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and
