Report on Oil Sightings throughout Coastal Louisiana

BATON ROUGE - The below is a situational awareness report of oil impacted
areas led by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, the
Louisiana Army National Guard and local governments.

Note: The information in this report has been forwarded to the federal
incident command post in Houma, which is composed of U.S. Coast Guard and BP
officials. This report consists of newly impacted areas, and does not serve
as a comprehensive listing of impacted areas.

St. Bernard Parish:
Sighting: Oil located on the NE shoreline of the Isle au Pitre.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Tar balls located 4 Miles E of Sundown Island.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: 3 miles long by 20 feet wide patch of oil located 3 miles NE of
Brush Island.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Tar balls located at Hewes Point 1/2 miles NW of the Chandeleur
Islands.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Oil located 2 miles W of Freemason Island.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Tar balls located 4 miles N of Comfort Island.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Oil impacting the marsh grass located in the Christmas Camp Lake 1
mile S of Point Cahill.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Oil impacting the marsh grass from Point Paulina to Codfish Point
in Morgan Harbor

Sighting: Oil impacting the marsh grass located on the W side of the
Mississippi River Gulf Outlet miles S of Gardner Island.

Sighting: Oil impacting the grass located in Seven Dollar Bay 1 mile NW of
Fiddler Point.

Sighting: Oil sheen with tar balls located in Frenepiquant Bayou 3 miles W
of Fiddler Point.

Sighting: Oil impacting unnamed island 1 NE of Point Cahill.

Sighting: Oil located 20 miles E of the Chandeleur Islands.

Sighting: One tar ball found on section 13 on Pevato Beach

Sighting: Oil located offshore 10 miles SSE of Lighthouse Point

Jefferson Parish:
Sighting: A large mass of oil and tar balls located offshore 6.6 miles S of
the W end of Grand Isle

Sighting: Oil sheen, pancakes, and tar balls located offshore 9 miles SE of
the W end of Grand Isle

Sighting: Oil sheen with tar balls located in the Barataria Pass just off
the shore of the SW end of Isle Grande Terre

Sighting: Oil sheen located in Pass Abel off the NW end of Isle Grande Terre

Orleans Parish:
Sighting: Light oil in the marsh located in Bayou Catherine near the S end
of the Chef Menteur Pass.

Plaquemines Parish:
Sighting: Oil sheen with tar balls located at the W entrance to Bay
Melville.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Oil impacting marsh area behind dislocated boom on St Mary's
Point.

Sighting: Heavy oil patch located on the W side of Bay Jimmy.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Tar balls impacting beach S of Bay Jo Wise.

Sighting: Streamer of emulsion approximately 1 mile wide located offshore 11
miles WSW of West Bay Seaplane Base.

Wildlife Refuge.

Sighting: Light sheen in bayou located off Carr drive in Slidell.

Sighting: Light oil located in Fritchie Marsh near Avery Dr, Slidell.
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Light oil sheen located near private residence at 2093 Lake Shore
Blvd., Slidell.

Terrebonne Parish:
Sighting: Oil on Shore of Point Au Fer Island 1.3 miles SE of Locust Bayou

Sighting: Oil and tar balls located on the S side of Whiskey Island

Sighting: Oil located on the W marsh in Bay Couteau at the Tambour Cutoff
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Ribbon of heavy, brownish-red oil located on the SW side of
Raccoon Point.

Sighting: Oil ribbons with tar balls located on the W edge of Raccoon
Island. 
Date: 10 Jul 10

Sighting: Oil partially covering the rocks on Raccoon Island with a heavy
emulsion of oil trending in a northerly direction from this location.
