Exxon, PDVSA Refinery at Chalmette, Louisiana Has Power Outage, Flaring

venture between Exxon Mobil Corp. and Petroleos de Venezuela SA, flared
gases after a partial power outage, according to a filing to the National
Response Center. 

The incident took place at 2:50 a.m. local time yesterday, the filing said. 

U.S. refineries must notify the National Response Center if they release
hazardous substance in excess of reportable quantities, according to the
Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act,
commonly known as Superfund. 

Bloomberg News could not immediately verify that the information in the
filing was accurate.
