Severe Weather Plan activated for St. Bernard Parish Branch of Oil Spill
Response Operations

 

St. Bernard Parish Branch Unified Command enacted its severe weather plan
Sunday afternoon. This is in anticipation of adverse weather conditions
posed by the remnants of Tropical Depression # 5.

 

The Operations and Logistics Branches have coordinated the relocation of
equipment, resources and vessels in accordance with the plan. On-Water
operations will be curtailed effective 1200 hours Monday. Shore based
operations and planning will continue, weather permitting through Monday
afternoon.

 

Unified Branch Command may request an operations stand-down for weather on
Tuesday, depending on the duration and severity of the system.
