Hydrogen Sulfide is a poisonous gas and its not just in drywall.
ExxonMobil's report listed 283 pounds of H2S from one flare (no information
on pounds per hour released).  Oft time the flaring events at refineries are
hydrogen sulfide or acid gas flaring.

The presence of traces of hydrogen sulfide in air aggravates the breathing,
increases the probability of contracting diseases due to bacteria and
viruses, reduces the iron in the blood and compromises certain functions of
the liver and kidneys
