While at the height of the BP oil tragedy, when Louisianians were dealing with the ongoing gushing oil plume and the job-killing Obama moratorium, Charlie Melancon flew to Canada <http://www.nrsc.org/was-melancon-raising-campaign-cash-at-trial-lawyers-canadian-convention-while-oil-spill-ravages-louisianas-coastline> . In Canada, Melancon and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid met with trial lawyers who were gathered to learn how to profit off the victims of the oil spill.
