Jerry said: and lots of eco-unfriendly environments
But why ask or look for more?

-----------------------------------------------------
" JY SPEAKS: Yea Bobby! You got a chicken processing plant. That
will go
well along
with the upscale toilet paper plant additions in Port Hudson. Some
folks in
other parts of the country, knowing some of the problems with
these plants, don't want them in their area."

Jer Responds:

Whoa, JY. Your Terreble was Terrible. <g>.

BTW, Louisiana almost 'always' got "plants" (especially around the
Mississippi River which brought in oil companies,
chemical/petrochemical
plants, and lots of eco-unfriendly environments. The other industry
were our
own (seafood, tourism, etc.).

Unfortunately, during disturbing times as these, fewer people are
investing
due to the bad economy and Obama-boy unable to get the economy going
to
inspire job creation (especially if the socialists in government
vote for
the Bush tax breaks to expire). Fewer investments in growth and new
plants
will not bring in jobs. We're lucky we're as in shape as other parts
of the
country have more unemployment and growth.

Considering the circumstances, I'll say we're staying the course as
we ALL
hope better times are ahead (prayer helps here) as the socialists
are
hell-bent to bring down the government and nation and supplant it
with
National Socialism or worse!

However, I do agree with low-waged help from beyond our borders
taking the
jobs which with the lower classes refuse to work. Seems to me that
if they
weren't around to accept the jobs from idiots who hire illegals,
then, they
would be the jobs left and people who have no education to speak
about or
don't qualify for high-paying jobs would just have to accept them
(like they
used to do). Now, those who did the menial work before would just
have to
take jobs that fit their qualification, huh? --or, they can sue
someone to
get rich, take jobs from others and give to them (the "robbin-hood"
effect),
or live quite comfortably, by comparison selling drugs to kids.
