St. Bernard Parish Roadway Restoration Program Industry Day January 6, 2011

 

On Thursday, 6 January 2011, the St. Bernard Parish Departments of Public
Works and Recovery will host a voluntary Industry Day to discuss upcoming
roadway repair construction projects to be part of the ongoing FEMA Roadway
Restoration Program in 2011.   An overview of the program will be presented
from 1 to 3 p.m. in the St. Bernard Parish Council Chambers at 8201 West
Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. All interested licensed contractors,
concrete and asphalt plant facilities, material suppliers, waste disposal &
demolition facilities, pipeline and utility companies, and other vendors and
parties are encouraged to attend.   


The Parish anticipates issuing up to 10 roadway repair contracts, with
contract values of approximately $9 million to $10 million.  The projects
have been publically advertised and are scheduled to bid in January 2011.
Work includes concrete (PCCP) and asphaltic concrete pavement, roadway base,
drive apron, sidewalk, and miscellaneous drain line and gravity sewer
repairs, and other incidental work related thereto.  Parish personnel and
design consultants will be on hand to answer questions.   Please note
separate mandatory pre-bid conferences will be conducted for each project.
