"... the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people." Sounds
like a good slogan Lenin might have used to rally the masses to depose the
Czar and install communism.

The fact remains that the DOJ's so called "environmental justice" division
is a waste of taxpayer dollars because even back in the 90's when Bill
Clinton initiated it, it was a duplicate task force. One like it already
exists within the Environmental Protection Agency. So you have to agencies
doing exactly the same thing - sounds like this was good excuse for slick
Willie to create a bunch of useless jobs for lawyer friends of his. In
fact, google it and you'll learn there were news stories back then saying
this.

The EPA can handle all of this.

wouldn't it be nice if residents were fully informed of developments, zoning
changes, and other issues affecting their quality of life and property
values before the decisions were made?

so far as 'environmental' justice', too often public health is collateral
damage for economic development; residents become the unintended victims of
failure to enforce the existing environmental regulations. It has been said
that St. Bernard Parish residents maybe exposed to more air pollutants than
the average American. --- SJK
