"I've worked in health care all my life. I have been waiting very
impatiently for us to get a hospital back in the parish. In fact, I already
mailed in my resume. I have been monitoring the website on a daily basis
looking for any sign of the hiring process to begin. Now....I want nothing
to do with our new hospital. These "apartments" are within walking distance
of our new hospital. I don't need 3 guesses to figure out what the area
will be like at night. --Katie"

Jer Responds:

This hospital WILL be targeted by the elements of a degrading apartment (and
it's not buildings that decay as quickly as the "inhuman race" who wants to
force or hasten personal life decay.

The way they do it is with "inside help" (aka, the inside job). They get
people to be hired there, then either bring home or have the perpetrator to
stop by and smuggle the drugs out. Drugs are either misquoted as being given
to a patient, or the patients are "short-changed" medication and smuggled
out to the drug trafficker/user.

Also, because of lack of security around a large parking lot, an incident
occurs to unbeknownst individuals walking back to their cars.

Put a ghetto next to a public building and it WILL happen at some time, not
"might".

I don't blame you or anyone for living anxiously in fear in specific areas.
These people who will be gracing the buildings WILL NOT be a pillar of
society or award-winning folks for their good deeds. Everyone, please do
not take it for granted.

A community gets a hospital (finally) after 6 or 7 years and then has to
watch their backs when visiting or using the facility.

Pitiful!

Let's thank the socialists for (awarding) - siding with the criminal element
and criminalizing the victims/good communities..

Ps. For the record, my daughter worked at Chalmette Medical Center for
years pre-Katrina and was very careful when leaving in the dark (near
Village Sq.). Is that any way to live a life after employment?
