WHY DIDN'T THE FEDERAL COURT TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE CITY OF
N.O. IN THE MATTER OF LAKE CARMEL & EASTOVER REGARDING OLD MORRISON HOMES
AND LEVY GARDENS? WHY DIDN'T HUD, GNO FAIR HOUSING AND LA FAIR HOUSING
AUTORITY (LFHA) PURSUE THESE MATTERS

Why are St. Bernard citizens any different (Chateau Laffite
Condo et al V St Bernard Parish) than that of any other community?. The
citizens and their respective elected representatives have the right to
maintain property values and quality of life and fight developers as cited
in N.O. East housing controversies, especially as Sen. Duplessis so
elegantly described below "those that seek to use public dollars in ways
that are contrary to the interests of areas residents..".

In the case of Levy Gardens, New Orleans' CDC Judge Kern
Reese ordered the City of N.O. to pull over one dozen building permits and
suspend another dozen permits so that the city's Safety and Permits office
could review them. Why was that situation any different than that of St.
Bernard? (Court ruling suspends Levy Gardens multi-family. see link below)

Please note that actions of N.O. residents and their elected
representatives were not labeled "discriminatory" and fought in federal
court. It is convenient for Provident to play a race card to incite
opposition rather than reveal their real motivation - federal tax credits -
public dollars - OUR dollars.
