Authorities in St. Bernard Parish investigate a meth lab allegedly being run
out of a recreational vehicle (Ctsy. St. Bernard Sheriff's Office)
Chalmette - Two people in St. Bernard Parish were arrested for operating a
methamphetamine lab in a recreational vehicle at a trailer park in Meraux.

Sheriff Jack Stephens says Rhonda Ritchie of Texas and James Howell, Jr. of
Alabama were arrested Tuesday afternoon after narcotics officers received a
tip the two were illegally making the drug.

After a small amount of meth and ingredients for making the drug were
discovered during a sting operation, the two were arrested for charges
related to manufacturing meth in the RV.

Both suspects are being held in St. Bernard Parish Prison. Stephens says
this is the first time someone has been charged with making meth in St.
Bernard Parish since Hurricane Katrina.
