The St. Bernard News is delivered to everyone's doorstep for FREE. Not
everyone receives the Times Picayune.

I look for St. Bernard information in both weekly newspapers of local
circulation: The St. Bernard Voice and the St. Bernard News.

I agree the price for ads is ridiculous, but Times Picayune doesnot have the
local circulation; in fact, some people are still boycotting the T/P. ---

Anybody take out any ads lately in the St. Bernard News?? They now want
nearly $1,700 for a full page ad. Just a few short years ago, just prior to
Katrina, a full page ad was barely $1,000 and the circulation (which drives
the price of the ad) was nearly twice of what it is today in post-Katrina
St. Bernard. Yet prices have jumped up astronomically. If my calculations
are correct, I'd guess the St. Bernard News ad space rates have inflated by
about 100% when you factor in the price increase against the number of
people who receive the paper, compared to pre-Katrina rates. Who do they
think they are.the Times-Picayune?
