BLUESTONE MINISTRIES NAMED FINALIST IN TOYOTA 100 CARS FOR GOOD PROGRAM

Toyota to Donate Vehicle to Local Nonprofit Organizations Based on Public Votes

Chalmette, Louisiana - June, 23, 2011 - Chalmette - based organization, BlueStone Ministries is one of 500 finalists in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public beginning May 9, 2011.

Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five non-profit organizations each day for 100 days on Toyota's Facebook page, facebook.com/toyota. Visitors to the page can vote once a day for the organization that they feel is most deserving of a new Toyota vehicle. BlueStone Ministries will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Tuesday, July 5, 2011

Local residents are encouraged to support BlueStone Ministries and their quest for a new Toyota Highlander Hybrid. If BlueStone Ministries receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used to carry more supplies to families in need, and conduct more outreaches to bring the homeless into emergency shelters during times of extreme weather conditions and to provide transportation to our free counseling and inner healing center for clients who have limited resources.

About BlueStone Ministries

BlueStone Ministries is a non-discriminatory Christ centered mission committed to working with local churches to serve the community. We work to promote unity among churches that reestablishes the local church as the fabric of the community.

Since 2007, we have helped churches and rebuild organizations bring several hundred displaced families, affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, back home. During the Gulf oil crisis we coordinated a coalition of local pastors and counselors to provide 450 hours of free counseling and more than 100,000 pounds of food to fishermen and their families.

BlueStone Ministries is currently building a Healing Center in St. Bernard Parish to address the critical need for mental wellness. This new center creates a holistic solution for healing survivors of trauma related disorders by utilizing the most effective resources in trauma recovery. BlueStone Ministries is led by St. Bernard native Keith Stone and his wife Cindi.
