It is doubtful Diana Dysart would challenge Ms. Lena.  Just last year the
Torres clan backed Danny for the Court of Appeals and her running would be
considered a blatant backstab, which could bring into the race support for
Ms. Lena from "many of the powers that be" in the parish who otherwise would
not get involved.  Besides, there has not been any talk from the Dysart camp
that she was considering a run.

I liked the time Reed called into a radio show from the road, talking on a
cell phone while driving; yes,  many of us drive while talking on a cell
phone.   Yet, the radio show host called Reed out, asking how could Reed be
on the road, on his way home, when the State Legislature was still in
session, still voting.  Reed's reply went something towards having an
assistant vote for him.
 
I wonder if Reed was driving in the left lane at the time, as he is an
author of a state bill about travel in the right lanes only
 
Also, about the assessor's race, in a recent opinion poll call to my home, I
was asked about several candidates including Diana Dysart for assessor.
This is going to be very entertaining.
