Call To Action	 

Please urge the Secretary of the US Department of Health and Human Services,
Kathleen Sebelius, to abandon attempts to violate the religious freedom of
our Catholic institutions!  Such freedom is being directly challenged via a
mandate issued on August 1st, by Secretary Sebelius' department, to cover
"preventive health services" by insurance plans.  These include but are not
limited to all prescription contraceptives approved by the FDA, as well as
abortifacients.  

The religious exemption provided is inadequate, insufficient, and
meaningless as it: 1)requires that the church agency primarily serve
individuals of its own faith, and 2) that the church agency employ mostly
people of its own faith.  This is blatantly inconsistent with the mission of
the Catholic Church regarding who She serves within Health Care facilities,
Catholic Charities agencies, and Educational institutions!
