Fine, I agree with what you are saying.  But to prove my point, let me see
all public officials to stay away from the celebration and leave it only for
the Corinne residents.  I'll lay 10 to 1 odds they couldn't stay away if
their lives depended on it.  So, as usual, our tax dollars, their glory -
and conveniently at reelection time.

At first glance, I can see how this looks like a photo-op.  However, I know
how long Corinne Estates and other community members waited for this repair.
It was more complicated than one might imagine.  Also, the Celebrate St
Bernard Foundation encourages residents to stop and celebrate each step
along the way.  It's been a short six years.  It's been  a long six years.
We've still got a long way to go.  You can burn bridges or you can cross
them together.  I'm in for the long haul.  Hope you join us, No Matter Who
