Murphy Oil conducts a series of public meetings to update the community on
environmental upgrades and other progress towards requirements of the recent
EPA consent decree. The meetings are held at 6:30pm in the Murphy Oil
Building on Judge Perez and are scheduled for the third Tuesday of the
month, with breaks in July and December. 

The meetings include an opportunity for discussion of matters of concern to
community members, a presentation of refinery emissions, monitoring and flow
data, and information on the new ambient air monitoring station, which is
located on Ventura Drive in Chalmette. The air sample results from the
ambient air monitor are posted on this website

similar to the Louisiana DEQ air monitoring stations in Bluebird Park in
Chalmette Vista and at the Joe Davies Elementary School in Meraux.
