St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters to hold early voting Oct. 8-15 for
the Oct. 22 election

Any registered voter can cast a ballot from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during early
voting



St. Bernard Parish Registrar of Voters Velma Bourg would like to give people
important information concerning the October 22 election.



Early voting will be from Saturday, October 8 through Saturday, October 15
from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Registrar of Voters Office at 8201 West
Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette. Any registered voter may cast a ballot
during the early voting period, but they must have a photo id.



Additionally, the state allows for certain people to vote by absentee
ballot, such as senior citizens, people with certain disabilities and
students who attend are attending college out of town. Additionally,
deployed military personnel may also get an absentee ballot that will be
mailed to them. Such citizens must call the office to request a form.



No signs of electioneering, such as shirts or pins, are allowed inside and
within 600 feet of the polling place.
