is this on the corner of Paris Rd and J. P.? I remember as far back as the late 60's there were four stations on the corners there---Shell, Spur, Texaco, & Mobil or some other brand I can't recall right now, but even then I used to think how do they keep from putting each other out of business? But every time I crossed J.P & Paris Rd all four of them would be busy. And then you even had like several other stations located just down the block on both side of J. P.

Item #9 on Council Meeting 4-03-2012 at link . around the 55 minute mark; discussion of zoning change from Residential to Commercial. Application is for a gas station, a RaceTrack, on Paris Road, which commenter says will have a negative empact on a number small business owners who employ about 20 -35 local residents. According to the commenter: RaceTrack will maybe only employ 12 people, not necessarily locals. Also, RaceTrack will create traffic - no traffic study, no infrastructure study, no environmental assessment study. RaceTrack will likely cause five (5) locally owned businesses to go out of business and cause 20 - 35 local residents to be unemployed. Big box stores are not committed to community. LosingJobs. RaceTrack will damage citizens of St Bernard in the long run. Like the Lowe's did. Do you the parish council want st bernard to have all these empty businesses. why would you rezone anyu more residnetial properties to commercial. there is plenty commercial properties available. chose something that is already there. you won't have any residential left.
