A 16-year-old boy from Bay St. Louis, Miss. was arrested Thursday in St.
Bernard Parish after deputies discovered him -- on probation in connection
with several burglaries -- driving a car stolen from Gulfport, Miss. The
teenager also had a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle as well as two
loaded handguns, according to Sheriff James Pohlmann.

The teenager was nabbed while driving in Chalmette. His name was not
released because of his age. He was booked at the St. Bernard Juvenile
Detention Center with possession of stolen property, aggravated flight from
an officer, a juvenile in possession of firearms, possession of marijuana
and possession of firearms in combination with a controlled dangerous
substance.

Earlier this week, deputies arrested 27-year-old Timothy Peters of New
Orleans in connection with an armed robbery in the parish early Tuesday.
Peters, according to the Sheriff's Office, admitted to driving a Chevrolet
Camaro that pulled up to a motorcycle owner about 1 a.m. at a traffic light
in Arabie. A gun-wielding male passenger jumped out of the Camaro and took
the motorcycle after threatening the motorcyclist, according to the
Sheriff's Office.
