St. Bernard Parish Officials continue to monitor the impacts of Hurricane Isaac

St. Bernard Parish Officials continue to monitor Hurricane Isaac and will provide updated information as it becomes available.

According to preliminary reports from the Corps of Engineers there are no issues with the levees or the locks. However in Eastern St. Bernard there is moderate to severe flooding up to the flood gates.

Entergy has reported 10,800 outages out of 17,000 customers.

There have been numerous reports of down trees, limbs and utility poles as well as wind born debris.

There have been no reports of impassible roads.

The winds are currently 50 mph to 55 mph sustained with gusts as high as 65 mph.

There has been 3 inches of rain thus far
