St. Bernard Recreation Department kicks off The Girls Circle

 

 

St. Bernard Parish Recreation Department has added a new program to the list
of activities currently being offered to the youth in the parish. The Girls
Circle is a free, positive social networking group created for young girls
ages 10 to 14.  The program offers a fun safe environment for girls and
gives them the opportunity to discuss issues such as bullying, drugs,
education and family.  The Girls Circle meets on the second and fourth
Saturday of each month at Gauthier School Gym from 10:00 am. to 1:00 p.m.  

 

The Coordinator, Tiara Howlett, is an experienced mentor who said her goal
is for the Girls Circle to be more than meetings.  There are many activities
planned for the group such as trips to museums, parks and movie nights.  For
