First Annual St. Bernard Parish Jambalaya Cook-Off Benefitting United Way



Chalmette Refining, Valero Meraux Refinery, the St. Bernard Parish
Department of Tourism, and the Seafood & Farmer's Market have joined
together to raise funds for United Way of Southeast Louisiana. The First
Annual St. Bernard Parish Jambalaya Cook-Off (or Battle for the Paddle)
fundraiser is planned for Saturday, November 10th , with all proceeds going
to United Way for agencies in our local community.



Event Date: Saturday, November 10, 2012 Judging by local chefs,
personalities

Visitors can taste Jambalaya from all teams for a $10 donation

Jambalaya served from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM (or until it runs out).



Event Location: St. Bernard Seafood & Farmer's Market at the St. Bernard
Parish Visitors Center Aycock Barn, 409 Aycock St., Arabi, LA



Awards: First Place, Second Place, People's Choice.



Photo Opportunities: Cook Teams Preparing for the Event - Beginning at 8 AM

Judging - 11:45AM - 12:30 PM - Awards Ceremony - 12:30 PM



Interview Opportunities: Spokespersons for the sponsors and cook teams are
available for interviews and/or appearances prior to and during the event.
