Parish President David Peralta serves as Chair of the New Orleans Regional
Planning Commission

St. Bernard Parish President David E. Peralta serves as this year's Chairman
of the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission. The Regional Planning
Commission (RPC) is a 26 member board comprised of local elected officials,
citizen members from the parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St.
Bernard and St. Tammany, as well as the Louisiana Secretary of
Transportation. The group meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues that
are regional in nature and approve the expenditure and programming of funds
for our region's transportation needs. RPC's officers are elected yearly
with representation from all five parishes.

As Chairman of RPC, President Peralta is responsible for running all board
meetings and signing contracts. He also serves as a member of the
transportation policy committee which guides the decisions of RPC. The
transportation policy committee meets monthly and makes recommendations to
the full commission who then prioritizes all projects.

St. Bernard Parish also has other representation on the commission including
Former Parish President Charles Ponstein, Councilman Ray Lauga, Councilman
Casey Hunnicutt and David Munn. To find out more information on the RPC
