St. Bernard names Tommaseo chief of tourism

CHALMETTE, La. (AP) - Katherine Tommaseo has been named tourism director for
St. Bernard Parish.

The Times-Picayune reports (http://bit.ly/WTWlTE ) the appointment was made
by parish President David Peralta.

Tommaseo had served as a judicial secretary for state District Judge Perry
Nicosia since February 2010 and previously was sales and marketing manager
at Holiday Inn Select Convention Center/Hotel in New Orleans.

She is a graduate of Nicholls State University.
