Word has it from inside the parish government building that Peralta had been
working for some time to get the McDougal girl out and bring this girl in,
all purely a political patronage payoff.  That is why the tourism board and
looking to walk and take its dedicated funding with it.  Don't know much
about any of the players involved here other than this is the typical bs
politics thought to have ended with electing Peralta. There seems to have
been a lot of hirings by Peralta in several department where many have
questioned if these folks came close to being experienced or qualified.
