Second Annual St. Bernard United Way Jambalaya Cook-Off Planned



The second annual St. Bernard Parish Jambalaya Cook-Off will be held in
conjunction with the Southern Food & Beverage Museum "Calling It Home
Festival" on November 2nd. The cook-off will be held on the first day of the
two day festival with all proceeds taken in from 11 am to 2 pm going to St.
Bernard United Way agencies: Arc-St. Bernard, Community Center of St.
Bernard, Family Services-St. Bernard, and the St. Bernard Battered Women's
Program. Cook Teams of up to four persons will compete to be named "Best
Jambalaya in St. Bernard Parish". For more information on how to sign up a

St. Bernard United Way Jambalaya Cook-Off

Saturday, November 2nd at 11 am - 2 pm

$10 pay one price entry fee includes all you can eat jambalaya from

11 am - 2 pm, festival admission, live entertainment, dancing, and crafts.
Children under 12 free.

About the Calling It Home Festival: The "Calling It Home Festival" is a two
day event celebrating the culture and great spirit of St. Bernard by
showcasing live music, food, and crafts. The festival will be held on
November 2-3, from 11 am to 7 pm at Docville Farm. The event is organized by
the Southern Food & Beverage Museum and hosted by the Meraux Foundation.
