THE COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS-ST. BERNARD CHAPTER

RE-DEDICATES CHILDREN'S MEMORIAL GARDEN

 

The St. Bernard Chapter of The Compassionate Friends held a   re-dedication
of the newly renovated Children's Memorial Garden on Saturday, October 12,
2013.  This self-help organization is to help bereaved families who have
lived thru the tragedy of the death of a child. There was a ribbon cutting,
immediately followed by a balloon release with 86 people in attendance.
Among the many guest in attendance were Parish President Dave Peralta, Dr.
Jerry Graves, Jr.; Fr. Lance Campo of Our Lady of Prompt Succor; Councilman
Ray Lauga, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce Jerry Calcagno, CEO of Todd's
Technology Todd Lemoine, Jodi Bridges Lemoine @ Bridges Physical Therapy,
Danielle Lemoine McInerney @ Lemoine Photography and School Board President
Diana Dysart.

 

The renovations to the garden were made possible by donations from Ray
(Skip) Lauga, Park Investments, Ltd., St. Bernard Volunteers for Family &
Community (Tour of Homes), Janet Attaway, Michael Caballero, and an
anonymous donor. Kathy &Tommy Nunez, Chapter members, headed the project,
volunteering many hours of work on the garden, along with Michelle & Richard
Boyd, Michael Caballero, Janet Attaway, Maxine Wilson, Faye Shirley, Suzanne
Lyell, Liz Lemoine and Absolute Lawn Care. 

 

Donations for the day were from Pastry Pantry, Randazzo's Bakery, Wendy's,
