Stolen car pulled from Bayou St. John

Authorities early Tuesday (Dec. 17) pulled a stolen purple four-door Nissan
Maxima from Bayou St. John on the edge of City Park. New Orleans police said
no one was in the car.

The Maxima was reported stolen from Saint Bernard Parish, said NOPD
spokesman officer Garry Flot, who did not provide additional details.

Police on Monday received reports of a car going into the waterway near the
corner of Wisner Boulevard and Harrison Avenue. A dive team wasn't able to
recovery until the next morning because of lack of visibility, police said.
