Sippin' in the Sunset is Oct. 9 in Arabi

The Old Arabi Neighborhood Association  will hold its next Sippin' in the
Sunset Oct. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Aycock Barn, 409 Aycock Street.  Food,
arts, crafts, beer, wine, and music by Oogum Boogum will be featured. 

This social offers guests the chance to shop, eat, enjoy live music and
visit with friends and neighbors all under one roof.  A children's table
also features face painting, balloon art, and other activities.  

Maegan Dobson, an OANA Board member, said the group hopes to make this event
a welcome tradition in St. Bernard.

"We've seen great crowds at each event, but markets like this are a two-way
street -- good vendors bring the people out to the Marketplace, and good
people keep the vendors wanting to come back," Dodson said. "It's not too
early to get some holiday shopping done, and supporting local vendors is
what will keep this market going."
