Happy Thanksgiving to all our US friends! (I wonder what they would
think if we asked for turkey crépes at the local créperie?) As a
follow-up to an earlier post about our upcoming custom-cut Ligne
Bretagne series, I've just posted a short video of the process. It
includes some photos of the very first examples of this, that will be
known as the "A" series.
(For the background story, see here:
http://www.talbertpipes.com/2005/11/ligne-bretagne-20.html )
The new posting is here:

The video shows the basic process of how the stummels are "topped" and
"shanked" by the cutters I have ground, with the rest of the work to do
by hand. There are two options for the video - a 75 meg AVI or a
smaller 22 meg Real for those on slower connections. Today's posting
also includes several sneak preview photos of the pipes we're sending
over to Pipe & Pint, for those who would like an advance peek. Anyone
interested in any of the pipes shown should phone Larry at (336)
218-8610 at Pipe & Pint. I don't expect them to arrive over there for
another two weeks, though, given holiday mail slowdowns.
In other news, there is yet another little video (this time just a
musical slide show) posted on the "Brittany" blog page:

Those qui parle français may find the link to the French girl's musings
on American food entertaining, too...
