Hello everyone! This is a notice for all the friends of Talbert Pipes
of a major piece of news - after a long wait, the website for our US
distributor, Pipe & Pint, is now OPEN!

http://www.thepipeandpint.com/

They've just been open for a couple of days and are still getting
things in order, but go ahead and have a look around. The best news
of all is that they have a nice selection of Talbert Briars, Mortas,
and Ligne Bretagnes, all available RIGHT NOW. These are not brand new
pipes, though - most of them were made between the years of 2006 and
2008, but they are for all purposes new and unsmoked. I sent a lot of
pipes to P&P at that time because they were planning to open their own
website, but unfortunately their website plans of that period fell
through and most of the pipes simply ended up sitting in boxes in the
back room for the past couple of years. Now they can finally be seen
and purchased!

In browsing the site, you will notice that many of my pipes don't have
descriptions other than specs - That's because I'm going to write
them, as soon as time permits (This will require me borrowing them so
I can comment on each, and trying to remember any pertinent details or
stories from when they were made a few years ago). Still, the photos
tell most of the important story anyway. FWIW, my two biggest
recommendations are this one:

http://www.thepipeandpint.com/talbert8.html
(The only smooth grade 5 I've made, and an incredible display of
unstained bird's-eye)

and this one:

(Just a wonderful, beautifully grained and stained, great big
practical smoker)

Anyone interested in purchasing any of their pipes should see this page:

I hope you'll all pop by and join me in celebrating their new site -
It's been a long time coming, but P&P is finally stepping into the
internet age. :D I hope this will help tide people over until my own
new website is officially opened. I'm working in the workshop round
the clock now making stock for it, and hope to have it open and full
of goodies in a month, if all goes well. Once my own site is open
again, it will be a hand-in-hand thing - Some of our inventory will go
to P&P, some will go on our own site, while other stock goes to our
distributors around the world. 2009 was an incredibly difficult year,
but here's hoping that Talbert Pipes will have a roaring 2010, and I
wish everyone out there a very happy and prosperous New Year!
