In addition to this inserting and activating images is not possible  
due to an offset problem, which seems to relate to what Adam  
describes above. This bug also shows when you would monitor the  
blinking caret offset. Following some typing the first backspace adds  
(not substracts!) to the offset, but then decrements the offset  
following backspace keydowns; When all the text has disappeared, the  
offset is 1, not 0. If you then type a letter, the offset goes to 0.
