What I have in mind is purchasing turned hardwood shafts with a brass or other ferrule at the joint and making carved handles myself. Does anyone know where I can purchase turned shafts and ferrules?

Thanks for the help,

LEE VALLEY is my supplier for canes Dick
They sell seconds pool cues And they are THE cats meow for cane handles
You cut them to the proper length
(Hold the cane upside down and mark at the outside wrist bone )
and take off the length of the handle you are carving
THAT is the proper length for a cane
