The afternoon edition of the May 6th ‘Williamson Daily News’ reported that it had been 77 degrees at 10am that morning, and the forecast was for “Scattered showers and thunder storms tonight and mostly cloudy and rather windy and warm. Low around 60.” Steam ended on a warm spring night with maybe a little rain.
