That's not quite how it happened. :)  They (actually Gene Lipkin)
identified Sears and approached the TV/Electronics department first,
trying to mimic the Magnavox dealer route. They were declined, and
then he cold called Tom Quinn in Sporting Goods. Tom's also the one
who Magnavox to drop the big console TV set for Sears and move it to
the sporting goods area.
