Hey Rick,
I have a local friend that is C&O WV literate. He said the following, and will get back to me if he finds more. I don’t know if
I'll have to do some looking at my Employee Timetables for the Cabin Creek line, but I am sure they had passenger service into the early 50's. IIRC they would often use a Doodlebug on this line or a small steam locomotive like a 4-4-2, 4-6-2 or a 2-8-0

> Kayford was a coal camp located in the Cabin Creek "hollow" not far from Charleston, WV. Since C&O had main lines that followed the Kanawha River and eventually the New River and points east, I would imagine that any passenger rail service to Kayford would be provided by the C&O. I'm confident that freight rail service was available at Kayford since the mine was large enough for the company to build the town to support the mine.
