Hello,

I have watched for almost a month as lucky concert-goers in England continue to gripe, and moan, and annoyingly complain about how "off" or "ill" Eric may have been during a given show this month. PLEASE STOP IT! I cannot take it anymore. Here's a note I wrote earlier today to what I view as a whiny "fan," which sums up all of my feelings on this matter:

I'm very tired of people ragging on EC's performances this year. How many live concerts has performed in his career or in the last 15 years for that matter? Can he be expected to be a robot that cannot make a mistake and never gets sick, or that even without a mistake or illness, is just 100% "on" during ever minute of every single performance? The answer is NO, NO, NO. Cut him some slack and PLEASE stop griping!!!! If you'd rather he retire and never play another show that you can be so lucky to attend, perhaps in your own "backyard," I'm sure he could arrange that. If not, please stop whining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for reading, please direct any additional whiny comments to me.

Ken Simpson
