Cathy,

All teachers from St. Bernard have my heartfelt
sympathy and concern.  I wish there was something I
could do to help.  I guess the only thing for you guys
to do is go elsewhere.  I am a exported "Chalmation"
and currently live in Wisconsin.  Here, they start
teachers at 30K a year.  You guys may do much better
going to another state.  Right now there are so many
who are willing to help around the country.  BUT it is
a darn shame that the state of Louisiana has not shown
their appreciation for all the GOOD hard work you have
done for all of these years.  It seems they are
casting you off like you are now unwelcome parasites. 
Just keep faith and realize that things will work
out---but you may have to find the help elsewhere.
